I was born in New York, and grew up on Long Island, the youngest of four children (and the only girl!) in a family of crazy performers. My father, a jazz drummer, always had music playing in the house, and my oldest brother Michael (a jazz trombonist) and my middle brothers Tommy and Jonathan (actors, comedians, writer/directors) have all gone on to professional showbiz careers...somehow my mom held us all together and kept things from getting too wild!

I was very shy as a little girl, and my outlet and form of expression was dancing - I had my first dance recital when I was three, and my mother always did my make-up every year for all my recitals (and always gave me flowers too, a tradition that continues to this day!) I should add that my dance school was quite a unique one...we always learned a song & dance number...a production number of sorts...and we always had a live band...I was hooked!

When I was little my family moved all the way across the country - I went from Huntington, Long Island, to Huntington Beach, California. It was around that time that my father gave me his "fake-book" of all the old jazz standards, as well as some valuable advice...don't just dance... sing and act too...be a triple threat and you will have more opportunities. I continued dancing throughout school and also began singing and acting more and more. My first part was in the 5th grade doing a monologue in "Free To Be You And Me"...how liberating to act as well!!

I started doing community theatre at a young age and even toured with The Young Americans. I had acquired all of my union cards by the time I was 18. I tried attending Cal State Long Beach for a year as a dance major, but by then I was already working professionally and learning a lot more in the real world than I was in school. My first really big job was a memorable one - tap dancing with Sammy Davis Jr. on the Jerry Lewis telethon in Las Vegas! I was a teenager with all of these divas...I was petrified and thrilled all at once!

I was also very fortunate to break into voiceover acting at an early age. I was hired as a virtual unknown to play the role of Betty Boop...the casting director for that cartoon heard me speaking at a day job where I was temporarily working, and a week later I had the part. After I got that foot in the door I really worked on my VO craft and it continues to be a wonderful career for me after all this time.

It seems that I was always ping-ponging between acting gigs, singing gigs and dancing gigs...all the while staying constant with the voice-over work. I did my fair share of straight plays and comedies in the Los Angeles theatre scene, began to do more and more leading roles in musical theatre, and one day I realized I had become that triple threat that my dad encouraged me to be.

And the fun never ends...I've explored yet another creative outlet with the release of my debut album - the process of finding my own voice, and the songs that best express who I am, has been an incredibly rewarding experience.

I've been very blessed to keep working as a performer ever since I was a kid, and so many of my childhood dreams have come true - Broadway openings, the Tony awards, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, dancing with my heroes, singing in European opera houses, wearing fabulous costumes, getting the chance to play some of the greatest parts in the theatrical tradition, hearing my voice bring life to incredible animated characters, recording my own album, and so much more. Above all, I've gotten the chance to meet so many wonderful people (including my amazing husband, Joel!) and to share the joy of performing with people from all over the world. I thank The Flying Fahn Family for their boundless and nutty love and support. I am truly a lucky girl and I look forward to my continuing journey! Mille Baci!!!
